Mark your calendars for the 25th Annual Star Island Yacht Club Shark Tournament. The Captains meeting will be held on Thursday with fishing Friday and Saturday. The Awards Ceremony and Dinner will follow fishing on Saturday night accompanied by live music.

Montauk Boatman’s and Captain’s Association Shark Tournament

2011 DATES – July 9 & 10

Prizes consist of cash and merchandise. This tournament is based at the Star Island Yacht Club and held July 9 and 10. A captains meeting will be held on Friday July 8 at 7:00 pm at Star Island Yacht Club. Scientists from the National Marine Fisheries Service will be present at the captains meeting to distribute shark tags and information. Also present will be representatives from various electronics manufacturers to demonstrate the latest in marine electronics.

The entry fee is $600 per boat for two days of fishing. A Calcutta will be available.

19th Annual Mako/Thresher Mania Tournament

If you’re an avid shark fisherman this is one tournament you won’t want to miss out on. This 2 day event will kick off with the Captain’s Meeting on Thursday with tournament fishing on Friday and Saturday from 6am till 6pm. With over $160,000 in cash, custom trophies, and other prizes awarded last year, you won’t want to miss out on the action!!
